Odisha reports 1648 new Covid-19 Cases and 58 deaths

Bhubaneswar: Another 1648 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Odisha till midnight of Sunday, reported the Information & Public Relations Department on Monday.

Among the new cases, 955 are in quarantine and 693 are local contacts. With this, the total number of positive cases in Odisha now stands at 955974.

The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day was registered at 2.36%.

Cuttack district reported highest 335 fresh infections followed by Khurda (230) and Jajpur (113).

District-wise details:

16. Kandhamal: 15
17. Kendrapada: 50
18. Keonjhar: 21
19. Khurda: 230
20. Koraput: 6
21. Malkangiri: 35
22. Mayurbhanj: 77
23. Nawarangpur: 12
24. Nayagarh: 73
25. Nuapada: 7
26. Puri: 67
27. Rayagada: 21
28. Sambalpur: 24
29. Sonepur: 10
30. Sundargarh: 33
31. State Pool: 44

The Health Department also reported 58 more COVID-19 deaths in Odisha as the toll mounted to 5116. Khurda district registered highest 19 deaths due to COVID-19.
