Bhubaneswar: A total of 1637 persons tested COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in Odisha taking the tally to 9,69,185 on Sunday. Out of 74553 samples tested, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 2.19 per cent.
Among the positive cases, 949 are from quarantine whereas 688 are local contact cases.
Khurda district logged the highest 350 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (250) and Angul (100). However, Gajapati district reported no new cases.

The Health Department reported 62 more deaths because of COVID-19 as the toll in the state rose to 5574. Khurda district registered highest 42 fatalities.
