Cuttack: A bridge reportedly collapsed in Chhatra Bazar area in Cuttack city of Odisha on Wednesday evening. Several people are believed to have been trapped under the debris of the bridge.
As per reports, construction work was on progress when the bridge collapsed following landslide. As it happened instantly, the vegetable vendors who were selling vegetables on the bridge suspected to have been fallen down along with the bridge.
One person has been rescued in a critical condition.
Some of the victims have been rescued by the locals. However, it has been believed that some other people are still trapped under the debris.
After getting information, the fire fighters rushed to the spot. Rescue operation is underway.
