Audi India announced on Thursday the start of bookings for the German luxury car brand’s flagship sedan, the Audi A8 L. Bookings for the sedan begin at Rs. 10 lakh, according to the automaker. Audi India’s new A8 L comes with a slew of customisation options for customers, as well as a slew of design, feature, and technology updates.
The new Audi A8 L will be available with a variety of customization options, including a Rear Relaxation package that includes a recliner, foot massager, and several other features. Customers can contact their local Audi dealerships or visit the company’s website, according to the company. The new Audi A8 L will compete with the BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class when it is released.
Audi has revealed that the new version of its flagship sedan is powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine, a 48V mild-hybrid system, and Quattro all-wheel-drive technology. The powertrain is capable of producing 340 hp and 540 Nm of torque. Audi claims the car has improved driving dynamics and predictive air suspension for a smoother ride.
Speaking about the start of bookings, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, stated that the Audi A8 L has a strong fan base in India and that the automaker is confident that this sedan will continue to perform well. “With the new Audi A8 L, we are continuing our focus on flagship cars in our product portfolio, as demand remains strong,” says Audi.
The car’s design features a massive front grille with bold mesh and chrome accents. The grille is surrounded by sharp Matrix LD headlamps with animated projections and a redesigned bumper. The car’s rear profile has also been updated, with restyled Matrix LED taillights, a sleek LED light bar, and an updated bumper.
The new Audi A8 L features an updated large touchscreen infotainment system as well as dual 10.1-inch digital display screens for rear-seat passengers. Among other things, the car has a folding centre console table and a cooler with a bar compartment.
