Royal Enfield debuted its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, in India, with a starting price of Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric motorcycle costs Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), including battery-as-a-Service (BaaS). This introduction marks a big step forward in the company’s foray into the electric car industry. Furthermore, this event will pave the way for the brand’s next electric motorcycles, which it has previously announced.
Flying Flea C6: Range, Specs
The Flying Flea C6 has a 15.4 kW (20 hp) PMSM electric motor and a 3.91 kWh battery pack. According to the published characteristics, the motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 115 km/h. It has a claimed IDC range of 154 kilometers, and the integrated charger can charge the battery from 20 to 80 percent in around 65 minutes.

Flying Flea C6: Features
Royal Enfield has filled the motorcycle with a plethora of features specifically designed for urban riders. This includes all-LED lighting, Google-powered onboard navigation, wireless phone charging, cornering ABS, traction control, and ride settings such as Sport and Individual. Individual mode allows the user to adjust the traction control, ABS intervention, and throttle responsiveness.
Flying Flea C6: Design
In terms of appearance, the Flying Flea C6 has a distinctive and compact design. Inspired by the original Flying Flea, this electric motorcycle features an exposed frame, girder-type front suspension, a floating seat, and a detachable pillion seat. These features set it apart from Royal Enfield’s typical petrol motorcycles.
The battery pack will be enclosed in an aluminum enclosure intended to improve the motorcycle’s aerodynamics and cooling efficiency. This design also contributes to the bike’s unique appearance. With all of these features, the motorcycle weighs 124 kg, making it the lightest model ever built by Royal Enfield.
