The Kia EV6 electric crossover will hit Indian roads in this month. The company has confirmed that pre-bookings will begin on May 26th, 2022, ahead of its official arrival. It will be Kia’s first and most prominent electric vehicle in the country. The model will be delivered via CBU (Completely Built Up) and assembled at the company’s local plant. The electric crossover will be available in a single, fully-loaded variant, with only 100 units sold in the first year. The Kia EV6 price in India is expected to be more than Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
The range-topping GT-Line variant will be available, with a dual e-AWD system paired to a 77.4kWh battery pack producing 320bhp and 605Nm of torque. On a full charge, it will have a range of approximately 425 kilometres. The EV6 is also available with a 58kWh battery pack in either RWD (rear-wheel drive) or AWD (all-wheel drive) configurations globally. While the former produces 168bhp, the latter has a dual-motor setup and produces 235bhp. The smaller battery pack model could be introduced later.
