Mahindra has officially announced the new Scorpio’s release date. The three-row SUV will be known as the Scorpio N and will be released in the country on June 27, 2022. It will also be celebrating its 20th anniversary in the country.
The new Scorpio will be a departure from the current model in terms of exterior design. It will have a new front grille, dual-projector headlamps, bumper-mounted LED DRLs, vertically positioned tail lamps, and dual-tone alloy wheels. The new Scorpio will have chrome accents on the door handles, bumpers, and around the front grille, according to the teaser videos.
Inside, the 2022 Scorpio will have a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a coloured MID, a new flat-bottom steering wheel, front-facing third-row seats, roof-mounted speakers, leatherette upholstery, an electric sunroof, and aircon vents for second-row passengers in the centre console.
The new Mahindra Scorpio will be available with both petrol and diesel engines. The engines will be paired with both manual and automatic transmissions. It has also been confirmed that the top-spec models will be equipped with all-wheel drive.
The new Scorpio will compete with the Tata Harrier, MG Hector, and Jeep Compass when it is released.
