Triumph Motorcycles India has released the 2022 Trident 660, which has been updated for the year. The bike first appeared in international markets in May of 22. Only a month later, it went on sale in India. The new bike’s price has been set at 7.58 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).
The motorcycle has received a new Matt Orange with Matte Storm Grey finish as part of the latest update. Aside from new looks, the new paint scheme gives the motorcycle a sporty feel. Except for this update, the motorcycle is unaltered. The new paint option will be available alongside the existing Silver Ice/Diablo Red, Matt Jet Black, and Sapphire Black color options.
The new 2022 Trident 660 is powered by the same 660cc inline three-cylinder engine. This engine is rated to produce 79.8bhp of peak power and 64Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission and includes a standard assist and slipper clutch.
The model’s key features include the use of two riding modes, a Bluetooth instrument cluster, and full-LED lighting. It competes with middleweight models such as the Kawasaki Z650 and Honda CB650R in India. In addition to the new Trident 660, the company is expected to launch several new 2022 edition models in the country in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, it has completed international testing of its TE-1 electric motorcycle, which is expected to hit the market later this year in production-ready form. This was created in collaboration with the University of Warwick’s Williams Advanced Engineering, Integral Powertrain Limited, and Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG).
