Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2022 Xtreme 160R in India. The motorcycle has received some minor updates from the homegrown manufacturer. Hero MotoCorp, on the other hand, has not raised its prices as a result of the updates. As a result, the 2022 Xtreme 160R’s ex-showroom price remains Rs. 1,17,148.
The Xtreme 160R now has a gear position indicator, which was added by the manufacturer. This feature was previously only available on the motorcycle’s Stealth Edition. The Xtreme 160R also has a revised seat and a redesigned external grab rail.
The motorcycle is available in three models from Hero. There are three versions: single disc, dual disc, and Stealth Edition. The single disc costs Rs. 1.17 lakhs, the dual disc costs Rs. 1.20 lakhs, and the Stealth Edition retails for Rs. 1.22 lakhs. All the prices are ex-showroom.
The motorcycle has undergone no mechanical modifications. It still has a 163 cc, single-cylinder engine that is air cooled and has fuel injection. It has a maximum power output of 15.2 PS and a peak torque output of 14 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed transmission. Suspension duties are handled by 37 mm telescopic forks in the front and a pre-load adjustable mono-shock with 7-step adjustability in the rear.
The bike has 17-inch alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. A 276 mm petal disc in front and a 220 mm petal disc in back provide braking. The drum brake on the other hand measures 130 mm in the base variant.
The instrument panel is an inverted LCD console that displays the gear position indicator, fuel gauge, speedometer, tachometer, and odometer. There is also a welcome message and a 5-step brightness adjustment. A side-stand cut-off sensor is also available from Hero. There are hazard lights and LED lighting throughout, including an LED Daytime Running Lamp.
Hero has also developed Auto Sail Technology, which prevents engine stalling in bumper-to-bumper traffic. A USB charger is available for charging mobile devices.
