Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: On Wednesday, Indian benchmark indices closed flat but in opposite directions. The S&P BSE Sensex closed the day 35.78 points or 0.06% lower at 58,817, while the NSE Nifty 50 index closed 9.65 points or 0.06% higher at 17,534.
The Bank Nifty closed 0.14% higher, while the Index VIX rose 1.5% to 19.59. Tata Steel led the gainers with a 1.82% gain, followed by ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel. Bajaj Finance was down 2.66%, followed by NTPC and HCL Technologies.
