Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has unveiled a new paint scheme for its best-selling motorcycle, the Splendor Plus. The Hero Splendor Plus now comes in a new Silver Nexus Blue color variant, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 70,658. With the addition of the new color, this entry-level commuter motorcycle now comes in a total of six colors.
They are Silver Nexus Blue, Black with Purple, Black with Sports Red, Heavy Grey with Green, Matte Shield Gold, and Black with Silver. Aside from the new paint scheme, the motorcycle is the same as before. The Hero Splendor series has always been one of the best-selling motorcycles in the country, with 2.5 lakh units sold on average.
The Hero Splendor Plus is powered by a 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine producing 7.9 bhp at 8,000 RPM and 8.05 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 RPM. The engine is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and Hero’s i3S idle start/stop system. It features telescopic front forks and dual spring-loaded shock absorbers at the rear.
Drum brakes at either end perform the braking duties, and it also has an integrated braking system. Ex-showroom prices for the new 2022 Hero Splendor Plus range from Rs 70,658 to Rs 72,978. It’s also worth noting that the Hero Splendor XTEC, a high-tech version of the Splendor, was recently introduced in India.
