The above-mentioned price applies to the first 10,000 Tata Tiago EVs, with 2,000 units reserved for existing Tata EV customers.
The Tata Tiago EV is available with two battery pack options: a 19.2 kWh battery pack with a range of 250 km (MIDC range), and a larger 24 kWh pack with a range of 315 km, according to Tata. However, in practice, expect the range to be narrower.
Tata claims that the Tiago EV can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds, and that it has a dedicated ‘Sport’ mode to help with power delivery.
The battery pack can be charged using a DC fast charger, which takes 57 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80%, or the car can be charged fully in 3 hours and 36 minutes using a 7.2 kW home charger.
Leatherette seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, automatic wipers and headlights, electrically adjustable and foldable OVRMs, push-button start, and other features are included in the new Tiago EV. Considering that the new Tiago EV is India’s most affordable EV offering, the car is quite loaded for the price range.
The Tata Tiago has no direct competitors in the Indian market, and its closest rival is its sedan sibling, the Tata Tigor EV. Furthermore, the Tata Tiago is available in three fuel options: petrol, CNG, and electric, catering to a diverse customer base. Bookings for the new Tata Tiago EV will open on October 10, with deliveries beginning in January 2023.
