Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has entered the country’s electric mobility space with the launch of e-scooters through its new EV subsidiary, Vida. The Vida V1, the company’s first electric scooter, has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh, ex-showroom. It is claimed to have a range of up to 165 kilometers per charge.

Hero MotoCorp sells the Vida V1 electric scooter in two models: Vida V1 Plus and Vida V1 Pro. They are priced ex-showroom at Rs 1.45 lakh and Rs 1.59 lakh, respectively. Bookings for the same will begin on October 10 for a nominal fee of Rs 2,499, with deliveries beginning in December 2022. It will first be available in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Jaipur.
Hero Vida V1- Specifications
In terms of specs, both of these electric scooters will have a top speed of 80 kmph. While the Vida V1 Plus has a range of 143 kilometers, the Vida V1 Pro has a range of 165 kilometers in ideal conditions. According to the company, these electric scooters can be fast-charged at the rate of 1.2 km per minute and the Pro version can do 0-40 kmph in 3.2 seconds.
Hero Vida V1: Features and Rivals
The Hero Vida V1 electric scooter comes with a 7.0-inch TFT touchscreen as the instrument cluster, which displays a plethora of information. It will also have multiple riding modes, smartphone and application connectivity, and other features. It also includes swappable battery technology. The Hero Vida V1 will compete with the Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and others.
