Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inugrated 6 important development projects in the Malkangiri district. These projects have received a total investment of Rs 25 crore. On this occasion, the Chief Minister stated that these projects will help to further the district’s social and economic development.
“Malkangiri has always been special to me,” the Chief Minister said during the project’s video conferencing launch. The development work of Malkangiri brings me the most joy. I am confident that the Malkangiri identity will shine brighter in the future. Malkangiri’s position as a leading district in the state will be strengthened further.”
Among the projects inaugurated today are two hostels for children from Scheduled Tribes and Castes enrolled in research programs. It has been designed to house 600 boys and girls. Biju Patnaik Interstate Bus Terminal at Motu Tri Junction. It has facilitated transit to the district as well as Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.
A high-level bridge connecting Malkangari to the Banda area, as well as the Biju Bridge over the Tamsa river at Balimela, a judo academy for sports development, and a children’s shelter, are also planned.
The Chief Minister praised the Malkangiri district’s rapid development program. He stated that the people of Malkangiri are now involved in development.
“Your cooperation in development work has always encouraged us. Education and awareness has been spread in the district. Communication has improved. It is a good thing that you are taking advantage of various welfare schemes starting from Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana.”
He stated that the success of Malkangari’s successful farmers, mothers of mission forces, students, and youth has given the district a new identity today.”
Using the example of Karma Muduli, a Banda Ghati girl studying at the best government women’s university in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister stated that education creates opportunities and has resulted in this transformation. Naveen advised the current students to read the text in order to form an identity for themselves.
On this occasion, Chittarakunda MLA Puranchandra Baka and District Council Chairperson Samari Tanglu delivered keynote speeches in which they praised the Chief Minister’s strong leadership for the district’s rapid development. VK Pandian, Secretary to the CM (5T), led the program. Secretaries from various departments were in present in the meeting.
