IIT Guwahati has announced the registration dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2023. It will start on April 30, 2023 and end on May 4, 2023. The exam will be held on June 4th. Candidates will be able to register on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in, once it is open.
The registration period will run from 10 a.m. on April 30, 2023 to 5 p.m. on May 4, 2023. The deadline for registered candidates to submit fees is May 5, 2023. From May 29 at 10 a.m. to June 4 at 2:30 p.m., admit cards will be available for download. On June 3, 2023, PwD candidates will be able to select their scribe.
JEE Advanced Paper 1 will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Paper 2 will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:50 pm. The declaration results and final answer key will be published on June 18 at 10 am.
On June 9 at 5 p.m., the candidate response key will be made available. The provisional answer key will be published on June 11 at 10 a.m., and challenges to the answer key will be accepted between June 11 at 10 a.m. and June 12 at 5 p.m. JoSAA counseling will most likely begin on June 19 at 5 p.m.
The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2023 registration period will run from June 18 at 10 a.m. to June 19 at 5 p.m. The AAT will take place on June 21 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The results of AAT 2023 will be announced on June 25, 2023 at 5 p.m.
“The JEE-Advanced 2023 will be conducted by the seven zonal coordinating IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board 2023 (JAB 2023). The performance of a candidate in JEE(Advanced) 2023 will form the basis for admission to the Bachelors, Integrated Masters, and the Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level), mentioned in clause 2, in all the IITs in the academic year 2023-24,” a senior IIT Guwahati official said.
IIT JEE Advanced 2023 – Eligibility
In order to apply for JEE Advanced, candidates must be in the top 2,50,000 (including all categories) of JEE (Main) 2023 BE, BTech paper. The percentage of various categories of candidates to be shortlisted are— 10 per cent for General EWS, 27 per cent for OBC NCL, 15 per cent for SC, 7.5 per cent for ST and the remaining 40.5 per cent is open for all. Within each category, 5 per cent is reserved for PwD candidates.
Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1998. Five years age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates. A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) maximum of two times in two consecutive years. Any candidate who have earlier admitted to an IIT will not be eligible.

A candidate may take JEE (Advanced) no more than twice in two consecutive years. Any candidate taking the exam must have first taken the class 12 (or equivalent) examination in either 2022 or 2023, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Students who took their class 12 exams in 2021 or earlier are ineligible to apply. However, if the Class XII (or equivalent) examination Board declares the results for the academic year 2020-21 on or after October 25, 2021, then candidates from that Board who took their Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2021 are also eligible to take JEE (Advanced) 2023.
IIT JEE Advanced 2023 – Registration fee
The registration fee is Rs 1450 for female candidates across all categories, as well as SC, ST, and PwD candidates. The registration fee for all other candidates is Rs 2900. The fee for foreign nationals, including PIO and OCI, and candidates residing in SAARC countries is $90, while the fee for candidates residing in non-SAARC countries is $180.
