Super Meteor 650 design and dimension
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is built on a new frame designed by Harris Performance, a chassis specialist that Royal Enfield now owns. The new chassis is designed to carry extra weight, and the motorcycle’s purpose is to munch miles. To accomplish this, the Meteor 650 has the longest wheelbase not only in the segment, but also in comparison to the BMW GS 1250.
The new Meteor has a wheelbase of 1500 mm, which is 4 mm shorter than BMW’s flagship adventure bike. In addition, the Meteor 650 weighs 241 kg, making it the heaviest Enfield ever. The low saddle height of 740 mm, on the other hand, makes it simple.
RE Meteor 650 engine specifications
After the Interceptor and the GT 650, the new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is the third motorcycle with a 650cc parallel twin engine. The engine produces 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque through a 6-speed manual transmission.
Because of its tune, the engine has been tried and tested over time, making it a dependable unit. The relaxed, stress-free engine complements the tourer, providing enough power while maintaining its posture.
Features and equipment
The Royal Enfield Meteor 650 features a long list of premium parts, the majority of which are firsts in the segment and some of which are firsts for Royal Enfield. Showa USD front forks and 5-step pre-loadable dual shocks are fitted to the Meteor 650.
Moving on, the Meteor 650 is equipped with disc brakes on both ends with ABS, alloy wheels, a semi-digital instrument cluster, Enfield’s Tripper navigation system, and a slew of accessories to personalize it.
Meteor 650 competition
The new Royal Enfield Meteor 650 has no direct competitors; however, motorcycles such as the Kawasaki Z650 RS, the Vulcan S, and the Benelli 502C have similar engine displacements and functions but are not direct competitors.
