Tata Motors recently introduced the all-new Tiago EV in India, with a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh ex-showroom. It is currently the least expensive electric vehicle in the country. The Tiago EV has already received over 20,000 bookings, and deliveries have now officially begun in India.
Booking and delivery of the Tata Tiago EV
Bookings for the Tiago EV began in September 2022, and it received 10,000 bookings in a single day. While the company’s introductory prices were initially valid for the first 10,000 customers, the offer was later extended to 20,000 buyers. Its deliveries have now begun, with Tata Motors having already delivered the first batch of 2,000 units.
Battery, range, and charging time of the Tata Tiago EV
The new Tiago EV comes with two battery packs: a 19.2 kWh unit and a 24 kWh unit. They produce 60 and 74 horsepower, respectively, and are claimed to have a driving range of 250 to 315 kilometers on a single charge. A fast charger can charge it in an hour, while normal charging can take up to 8.7 hours.

Ex-showroom prices for the all-new Tata Tiago EV range from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.49 lakh. It has no direct competitors in India. However, it will indirectly compete with its own sibling, the Tigor EV, as well as the Nexon EV Prime to some extent.
