President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Bhubaneswar on Friday around 11.45 a.m. in her special aircraft, beginning a two-day visit to her home state. At the Biju Patnaik International Airport, Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik greeted the President (BPIA).
This is President Murmu’s second visit to her home state since assuming the country’s highest constitutional position in July 2022.
The President will attend the Jnanaprabha Mission’s foundation day program, a charitable organization.
Later in the day, she will return to Rama Devi Women’s University to speak at this year’s convocation. Notably, she graduated from her then-college with a BA in 1979.
Murmu will visit the Lord Lingaraj temple on Saturday, the second day of her visit, before launching the second Indian Rice Congress at the National Rice Research Institute in Cuttack.
