Tata Motors recently introduced new Red Dark editions of the Harrier and Safari. These high-tech features are now available on regular Harrier and Safari variants, and the prices of these updated SUVs have been announced. The 2023 Tata Harrier will start at Rs 15 lakh, while the Safari will start at Rs 15.65 lakh, ex-showroom.
2023 Tata Harrier, Safari: Price in India
The regular variants of the 2023 Tata Harrier start at Rs 15 lakh and go up to Rs 24.07 lakh, while the Red Dark edition starts at Rs 21.77 lakh, ex-showroom. Tata Safari, on the other hand, will be priced between Rs 15.65 lakh and Rs 25.01 lakh, with the Red Dark edition starting at Rs 22.61 lakh, ex-showroom.
2023 Tata Harrier, Safari: What’s new?
Both of these SUVs retain their current design. On the inside, however, they get a slew of new features. The Harrier and Safari now have ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems), six airbags, a 360-degree parking camera, and other safety features. Other technological features include a new 10.25-inch touchscreen system with connected car technology, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and so on.
2023 Tata Harrier, Safari: Engine and gearbox
The old 2.0-litre diesel engine remains in the 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari, but it now meets BS6 phase-2 RDE (real-drive emission) standards. A 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine produces 167 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque in these mid-size SUVs. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
