Skoda Auto India has introduced a new limited edition mid-spec variant to the Kushaq lineup. The Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition is priced at Rs 12.39 lakh ex-showroom in India. It sits between the Active and Ambition trim levels of this mid-size SUV and receives minor cosmetic updates as well as some new features.
Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition: What’s new?
The Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition now has crystalline LED headlamps with DRLs, which were previously only available in Ambition and higher trims. It also receives front foglamps with a static cornering function, a rear wiper and defogger, new wheel covers, and Onyx badges. It has a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and safety features such as dual front airbags, TPMS, ESC, and so on.
Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition: Engine and gearbox
While the regular Kushaq variants come with a variety of engines and transmission options, the Onyx Edition only comes with one. It is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine with 114 bhp and 178 Nm of peak torque. The engine is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Skoda Kushaq is one of the safest made-in-India vehicles, earning a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test.
