Common Admission Test (CAT)
The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow is currently conducting the registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023. Interested and eligible candidates can apply from tomorrow at the official website — iimcat.ac.in — till 5 pm of September 13.
As per the official calendar, the exam will be held on November 26 in three sessions. For this, the admit cards will be available for download from October 25.

CAT is a computer based test for admission in graduate management programmes. The exam is conducted by IIMs as a prerequisite for admission to various management programmes of IIMs.
Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)
Registration for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2024 has begun, and students have till November 30 to apply online at xatonline.in. The admission examination is set to take place on Sunday, January 7, 2024, according to the official timetable.
According to the schedule, the XAT 2024 admit card will be available for download on December 20.
Candidates must have a three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized university or institution to be eligible for the XAT. Students who will have completed their final exams by June 10, 2024 are also eligible to apply.
The registration fee for XAT is Rs 2,100. If you are applying for XLRI programs, the fee is Rs 200 per program.
The XAT question paper is divided into two halves, and the amount of questions will be between 100 and 105. Each part will normally have 22 to 30 questions. The overall number of questions, including those focusing on General Knowledge, will not exceed 100.
There is no management or NRI quota, hence admission to XLRI programs is solely based on merit. Currently, more than 160 institutes accept the XAT score for admission.
NMAT by GMAC 2023
The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) is now accepting applications for the NMAT 2023. Before October 10, candidates can apply online at mba.com/exams/nmat.
The NMAT by GMAC exam is used for graduate business admissions in various countries, including India, South Africa, the Philippines, Nigeria, and Morocco. This is an adaptive computer test.
The number of universities accepting the NMAT by GMAC exam has grown this year, according to officials.
GMAT
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a standardised test that assists students in gaining admission to certain management schools, including Stanford Graduate School of management in America, London Business School in London, INSEAD in France, and others.
Unlike the CAT exam, which has a set day and time, the GMAT exam can be taken at any time of year. Candidates must simply register and choose one of the exam times provided on the website. For Indian students, the registration fee is nearly Rs 21,000.
Generally, it takes seven days for GMAC to make the score report of each student public. Although this can also exceed up to a maximum of 20 days.
MAT
The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardized test used as a screening exam for admission to MBA and related programs. The All India Management Association (AIMA) administers the test.
Registration for the paper-based test is open until August 29 for the September 3 exam, according to the schedule posted on the official website — mat.aima.in. This exam’s admission cards will be released on August 31. The deadline for computer-based tests is September 12, and admit cards will be distributed on September 14 for the exam, which is slated to take place on September 17. Both test modalities’ results will be available by the end of September.
