After much anticipation, Citroen finally released the C3 Aircross automatic. The SUV comes in two trim levels, the Plus and Max, with prices starting at Rs 12.85 lakh. The latter is available in two models, both with initial pricing: the 5-seater for Rs 13.50 lakh and the 5+2 seater for Rs 13.85 lakh. The first car built on the C-Cubed platform with an automatic option is the C3 Aircross. Now, reservations are being accepted for a nominal fee of Rs 25,000.
Citroen C3 Aircross Automatic: Engine and Transmission
The C3 Aircross automatic is powered by same the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that is available in the manual version. Unlike the manual SUV which emits 109bhp and 190Nm of torque, the new automatic churns out 109bhp and 205Nm, an additional 15Nm. According to ARAI, it returns a mileage of 17.6kmpl. The 6-speed automatic torque converter is sourced from Aisin, but it doesn’t come with paddle shifters.

The C3 Aircross automatic comes equipped with additional new features like Remote Engine Start and Remote AC preconditioning, which are not in the manual version. Apart from this, it continues to offer a 10-inch infotainment system, a 7-inch TFT driver’s console, third-row AC vents and USB chargers. The C3 Aircross is 4.3-litre in length and according to the company, the 5-seater offers the best in the class knee room for the rear passengers. The 5+2 seater, on the other hand, comes with 511 litres of luggage space.
