NEET UG 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) today has reopened the online application forms for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET (UG) 2024. Candidates who are yet to submit their forms can fill the applications at the official website — neet.ntaonline.in.
Earlier, the NTA had extended the registration deadline from March 9 to 16. “A few requests were received from the candidates to re-open the registration window of NEET (UG) – 2024 as they could not fill their form due to various unavoidable reasons,” NTA said in an official notice.
Students will have time till April 10 to fill the online application form.
NEET UG 2024: How to apply
Step 1: Visit the official website — neet.ntaonline.in
Step 2: If you are a new student, apply through the ‘new registration’ link, or login through the link.
Step 3: Click on new registration and fill in details such as name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and email address
Step 4: Once registered, login using your application number and password.
Step 5: Fill the application form
Step 6: Save, submit and pay the fees
Step 7: Download the application form for future reference
A candidate can opt for login and identification for the online submission form to register with the following options:
— Aadhaar card
— Digi locker
— ABC ID
— Passport
— Pan Card
— School/ Any other valid Govt. Identity Card with a photograph
Additionally, candidates must pay an application fee. The registration cost for Indian candidates in the General Category is Rs 1,700. For the reserved categories, there are, nevertheless, exceptions. The application cost is Rs 1,600 for General-EWS/OBC-NCL and Rs 1,000 for SC/ST/PwBD/third gender.
“Candidates should note that this is a one-time opportunity, so they are advised to use it carefully as no further chance will be given for applying for NEET (UG) – 2024. Please make a note of this and fill the online Application Form accordingly,” NTA stated.
This time around, 23,81,833 students have registered for NEET UG 2024, according to statistics released by the NTA. Of them, over 10 lakh are male, over 13 lakh are female, and 24 students have enrolled under the “third gender” category.
NEET UG 2024 is set to take place in pen and paper (offline) format on May 5 from 2 to 5 pm in about 571 cities throughout India and 14 cities abroad.
