The all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift has been unveiled in India, with a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2024 Suzuki Swift has been revamped with a revised bodywork and a new Z-series engine. Bookings for the new Swift are already available at Ra 11,000.
Maruti Suzuki has unveiled five variations of the 2017 Swift: LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi, and ZXi+. The fourth-generation Swift comes in a variety of colors, including Luster Blue, Novel Orange, Sizzling Red, Pearl Arctic White, Magma Grey, and Splendid Silver, as well as three new dual-tone paint schemes: Luster Blue with Midnight Black Roof, Sizzling Red with Midnight Black Roof, and Pearl Arctic White with Midnight Black Roof.

- The 2024 Swift is also available at a monthly subscription of Rs 17,436. The monthly rental includes the cost of the vehicle, registration, maintenance, insurance and road side assistance.

Design, features
The new Swift now sports a redesigned exterior with a low-slung grille, a clamshell bonnet and a floating roofline. It features large projector headlamps with L-shaped DRLs and LED fog lamps.
However, the rear design remain similar to the current version including wide haunches, with clear lens LED taillights and a wraparound rear windshield. The car features dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the new-gen Swift is equipped with a win-dial instrument cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and a 3-spoke steering wheel.
The car offers features include a wireless charger, height-adjustable driver seat, electric ORVMs and automatic climate control, to name a few.
For safety, the new Swift comes with 6 airbags as standard across all variants, seatbelt reminders for all seats, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, a rearview camera, ESC and Hill Start Assist.
2024 Maruti Swift engine & fuel economy
The 2024 Swift is powered by a new Z-series engine with a holding capacity of 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 80 BHP @ 5,700 rpm and 112 Nm @ 4,300 rpm. The engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.
Maruti Suzuki claims the new Z-series engine offers 10% better fuel efficiency in manual and 14% improved efficiency in AMT. The ARAI-certified mileage is 24.80 km/l (MT) and 25.75 km/l (AMT).
