The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for submitting applications (except for certificate and semester-based programmes) to September 10. Interested students can apply for these programs using the official IGNOU website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. For online courses, candidates must go to the other official website, ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.
“Extension of last date for July, 2024 Fresh Admission till 10th Sept, 2024 in respect of all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode for July, 2024 session (except for Semester based and Certificate programmes),” the official post on X (earlier known as Twitter) stated.
In addition to this, the last date of July 2024 IGNOU re-registration has also been extended till September 10 for all programmes offered in ODL/ online mode.
Students interested in enrolling in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programs can apply for new admissions using the designated ODL and online portals. Existing students who need to re-register for the following semester or academic year can do so via the re-registration site.
IGNOU 2024 Admission: Documents required to apply
Before preceding the fresh admission application candidates must have the following documents —
– Scanned passport size photograph
– Scanned signature (less than 100 KB)
– Scanned documents of required educational qualification
– Scanned copy of experience certificate, not mandatory
– Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, if applicable such as SC, ST, OBC
Candidates must ensure that their photos and signing documents are less than 100 KB in size. The other stated papers must not be larger than 200 KB. The IGNOU official website further specifies that the scanned file must be from the original documents.
Following admission confirmation, qualified students can apply for Government of India scholarships through the national scholarship site at scholarships.gov.in.
