The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Thursday extended the July 2024 fresh admission deadline until October 31. The extension applies to all programmes excluding semester-based and certificate programs.
The deadline was previously set for October 15, but it has now been extended to October 31. Prior to October 15, the registration deadline for the ODL and online courses was September 30.
The official website, iop.ignouonline.ac.in, contains a list of online programmes. Students can review the programmes and apply accordingly.

IGNOU fresh admission form 2024: How to fill
Step 1: Go to the official website of IGNOU – ignou.ac.in
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register Online’ tab followed by ‘Fresh Admissions’
Step 3: Click on the ‘New Registrations’ tab
Step 4: Fill in all the required registration details
Step 5: Set a ‘Username’ and ‘Password’
Step 6: Fill all the required information and submit
Step 7: With the login details received on the email ID and phone number, log in using the same and fill in all the details required
Step 8: Select the programme to be studied
Step 9: Submit the registration form
Meanwhile, IGNOU on October 14 extended the last date for the December 2024 Term End Examination (TEE) registration for both ODL and online programmes. Students without late fees can submit the application form by October 20, but with a late fee of Rs 1100, students can submit the exam form between October 22 and October 31. Earlier the deadline was October 16 which is now extended till October 20.
