JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Exam Day Guidelines: On January 22, the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) paper 1 exam will kick off the first session. The BE/BTech paper (paper 1) is part of the JEE Main paper 1. The dates of the JEE Main 2025 examinations are set for January 22–30.
This year, the JEE Main 2025 will be administered in two stages: in January and April. Paper 1 (BE/BTech), Paper 2A (BArch), or Paper 2B (BPlanning) all have three-hour test durations.
Additionally, it takes three hours and thirty minutes for both the BArch and BPlanning papers together. Only on January 30, starting at 3 p.m., will the second shift of the JEE Main paper 2 exam take place. The morning shift papers are set to be held between 9 am and 12 noon.
Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2025 will have to undergo frisking and biometric attendance after toilet breaks as well.
Candidates were required to register using their ABC ID or DigiLocker. On the day of the JEE Main 2025 exam, applicants who did not register using DigiLocker or ABC ID or who choose authentication methods other than Aadhaar would need to arrive early. To get their biometrics taken, candidates must be at the JEE Main 2025 exam location at least 1 hour early.
JEE Main 2025: Things to carry
– Candidates will have to carry a print out of the JEE Main 2025 admit card
– In addition to the JEE Main 2025 admit card hard copy, candidates will also have to carry a photo identity proof in original
– Candidates will have to paste a photograph on the admit card. It is better to carry two extra copies of photographs to the exam centre
– One passport size photograph will also be required to be pasted on the attendance sheet. The passport size photograph should be the same as uploaded with the online JEE Main application form
JEE Main 2025 barred items
– Items including instrument or geometry, pencil box, handbag, purse, any kind of paper, stationery, textual material, eatables and water, mobile phone, ear phone, microphone, pager, calculator, docupen, slide rules, log tables, camera, tape recorder and metallic item or electronic gadgets, devices will not be allowed inside the JEE Main exam centre
JEE Main 2025: Dress Code
–Avoid wearing metallic elements like rings, bracelets, and earrings or embellishments
–Shoes with thick soles are prohibited.
–Opt for simple, comfortable clothing
–Any kind of scarf should be avoided.
JEE Main 2025 Session 1: NTA guidelines
– For the drawing paper of paper 2 JEE Main, however, the candidates will have to bring their own geometry box set, pencils, erasers and colour pencils or crayons. The candidates are not allowed to use watercolours on drawing sheet
– Diabetic students will be allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets and fruits (like bananas, apples, oranges) and transparent water bottles. However, they will not be allowed to carry packed foods like chocolates/candy/sandwiches, etc.
When departing the JEE Main test room, the JEE Main admit card needs to be placed in the appropriate drop box. According to NTA, if candidates do not deposit their admit cards, their answers will not be reviewed.
