NEET PG Round 3 Counselling: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the round 3 seat allotment results on its official website. Candidates who participated in the round can download their allotment for round three from mcc.nic.in. According to the MCC’s official schedule, the reporting period will begin on January 26 and end on February 3.
The institutes will verify the data given by the joined candidates, with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) providing essential data from February 4 to February 5.
The registration period for NEET PG Round 3 began on December 26 and concluded on January 22. The choice filling and locking phase ended on January 23, and the seat allotment process ran from January 23 to January 24.
Recently, the MCC removed 23 seats from the NEET PG 2024 Round 3 seat matrix, while 12 new seats were added to the counselling for this round. Among the seats eliminated are two post-MBBS Diplomate of National Board (DNB) General Surgery positions at Ruby General Hospital in Kolkata.
According to the amended criteria, general and EWS category candidates must score 15 percentile or higher to participate in the counseling procedure, whereas SC, ST, OBC, and PwD category candidates must score 10 percentile or higher.
NMC officials say the measure is intended to fill open postgraduate medical seats around the country. However, experts are divided over the significance of the lower cut-off. While some consider it as a necessary tactic to fill vacant seats, others fear it compromises the quality of medical education and training.
