The 2025 MG Astor has been released, with upgrades to its variation portfolio. The mid-tier Shine and Select trim levels of the compact SUV now contain additional amenities. MG claims the redesigned Astor is the only model in its category with a panoramic sunroof for under ₹12.5 lakh. Nonetheless, the range remains affordable, starting at ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom).
2025 MG Astor Shine and Select gets new features
The 2025 MG Astor Shine has a panoramic sunroof and six speakers. Meanwhile, the updated Select model now has six airbags and enhanced premium ivory leatherette seats. The Astor Shine is priced at ₹12.48 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and 5-speed manual transmission. The Astor Select manual model costs ₹13.82 lakh for the manual version and ₹14.85 lakh for the CVT automatic variant.
The 2025 MG Astor has several unique features, including ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and seamless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also boasts an auto-dimming internal rearview mirror and an upgraded i-Smart 2.0 system with over 80 connected capabilities. The Astor also includes voice recognition technology, which allows for voice commands, anti-theft notifications, digital key access, and other features. The higher-end models include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), as well as a variety of active and passive safety features.
2025 MG Astor: Design changes
The Astor’s exterior appearance remains intact, with a prominent front grille, sharp, sweptback LED headlights with daytime running lights, and wraparound LED taillights. The crossover is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels.

The MG Astor comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, whereas the 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine is only available with an automatic transmission. The Astor line-up includes five models: Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. Prices for these models range from ₹10 lakh to ₹17.56 lakh (ex-showroom).
