The Alto K10 now includes 3-point seat belts for rear passengers in addition to the six airbags that come standard. Other safety features available include an electronic stability program (ESP), reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, and a collapsible steering column. The hatchback also features a rear door child lock, engine immobilizer, high-speed warning system, front seat belt pretensioners with force limiters, a seat belt reminder with a buzzer, headlamp leveling, and a high-mounted stop lamp.

Aside from the increased safety features, Maruti has also upgraded the Alto K10’s sound system, which now includes four speakers rather than two. The remainder of the feature list is unchanged. Key features include a 7-inch touchscreen entertainment system, keyless entry, steering-mounted controls, manually adjusted outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The Maruti Alto K10 is powered by a 1-litre naturally aspirated dualjet petrol engine with 67 bhp and 89 Nm of peak torque. This engine is compatible with both a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic transmission. Furthermore, the CNG variants of the Alto K10 feature the same engine, which produces 56 horsepower and 82 Nm of torque. In the CNG configuration, Alto K10 is exclusively paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. CNG variants also includes idle engine start/stop technology.
