Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a massive road show in Bhubaneswar, from the airport to Janata Maidan. He came at the Bhubaneswar airport on a special Air Force flight and was greeted by Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and other prominent figures.
Thousands of people lined both sides of the road to catch a glimpse of their favorite leader, waving flags and shouting slogans. Elaborate arrangements were made to greet the Prime Minister in a traditional manner.
After finishing the road show, Modi visited a public meeting at Janata Maidan to address the people of Odisha on the state’s one-year anniversary of the BJP government. During his visit, he laid the foundation stones and inaugurated infrastructure projects worth Rs. 18,700 crore.
The Prime Minister also presided over a state-level gathering in Bhubaneswar to honor the Odisha government’s one-year anniversary. As part of his commitment to Odisha’s overall development, he launched and set the groundwork for numerous development projects totaling more than Rs. 18,600 crore. These projects address important sectors like as drinking water, irrigation, agricultural and health infrastructure, rural roads and bridges, sections of national highways, and a new railway line.
In addition, the Prime Minister launched new train services, extending rail connectivity to the Boudh area for the first time, as well as 100 electric buses under the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) system, which will promote a contemporary and environmentally friendly urban mobility network.
