NEET UG 2025 Counselling NRI Conversion: The Medical Council Committee (MCC) has authorized converting 188 Indian candidates to NRI status for the NEET UG 2025 counselling procedure. These candidates must submit their scanned documents to MCC via email at ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com before August 3, 2025. The list of NRI candidates was created after a comprehensive evaluation of the documentation supplied by applicants to ensure that they met the MCC’s eligibility standards.
“The eligibility of candidates for seats reserved for NRI is ‘Provisional’ based on the documents submitted by the candidates which will be verified by the allotted college authorities at the time of reporting and the Embassy Certificate will be sent to the Ministry of External Affairs/ respective High Commissions for verification,” read the notification.
NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Documents Required for NRI Category Admission
–NEET UG scorecard issued by NTA
–Self-attested declaration confirming the candidate is NRI/OCI/PIO or a child of NRI parents
–OCI/PIO card of the candidate (if applicable)
–NRI Embassy certificate issued for either the candidate or their parent
NRIs wishing to enroll in MBBS or BDS programs must provide their authentic documents upon college reporting. Failure to do so will result in the loss of their seat eligibility. According to NRI standards, only candidates with an embassy certificate are eligible for NRI-designated seats. In addition, the MCC notification includes a self-attested declaration.
Meanwhile, the MCC had extended the registration deadline for round one counselling for PwBD candidates. According to the amended timetable, the deadline to finish NEET UG registration is August 3, 2025. Various PwBD candidates emailed the Committee about the difficulty in acquiring certifications from authorized disability centers; as a result, the MCC has extended the deadline. The seat assignment for NEET UG 2025 round one will be announced on August 6.
Candidates who have yet to apply for NEET UG counselling should verify the amended dates on MCC’s official website, mcc.nic.in, and apply accordingly.
