The Central Board of Secondary Education will reopen the application window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in February. In a news release, the Board claimed that 1,61,127 registrations remained incomplete and did not progress to final applications. Given the huge number of applicants that were left, the Board took a sympathetic approach and decided to grant a one-time opportunity for these individuals to finish their applications.
This facility will be available on the portal from 11 a.m. on December 27 until 11:59 p.m. on December 30, 2025. Candidates are recommended to double-check their information and make any required changes during the final submission procedure, since no additional revisions will be allowed. The Board has also clarified that no fresh registrations will be allowed during this special window.
The online application procedure for the 21st edition of the CTET started on November 27 and ended on December 18. A total of 25,30,581 candidates applied, with 3,53,218 applications received on the second to last day and 4,14,981 on the final day.
The CTET is a national-level eligibility test used to identify who can teach in India’s government run and recognized schools from grades 1 to 8. CBSE conducts the exam twice a year, and it is frequently a required credential for people seeking employment in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other government and aided schools.

Eligible candidates must register exclusively through the official CTET portal at ctet.nic.in. The process includes:
