The National Testing Agency (NTA) on January 3 released the detailed notification and started the application for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG).. Applicants can apply online at cuet.nta.nic.in. The Agency has previously announced the exam dates. The CUET UG 2026 exam is scheduled to take place from May 11 to May 31. The CUET UG 2026 test pattern and syllabus have already been revealed, along with the information brochure.
CUET UG will be held in 13 languages throughout India and abroad for admission to undergraduate programs offered by Central Universities and other collaborating institutions.
CUET UG 2026 Application Process
Step 1: Visit the official website – cuet.nta.nic.in
Step 2: Go to the CUET UG 2026 registration link
Step 3: Fill the online CUET UG application with personal details
Step 4: Fill the online application with qualification details
Step 5: Upload scanned images of photograph and signature in the format specified
Step 6: Pay fee payment through the online payment mode
Step 7: Submit and download the CUET UG application form 2026
While, the online submission of application forms will remain open till January 30, 2026, up to 11.50 pm, the last date for fee payment through credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI is January 31, 2026, up to 11.50 pm.
Candidates will be able to make changes to their online application forms between February 2 and February 4, up to 11.50 p.m. The NTA added that the announcement of examination cities and the availability of admit cards on its website will be made later. The presentation of recorded responses and answer keys, as well as the declaration of results, will be announced on the NTA website shortly.
The NTA had encouraged applicants to update their Aadhaar data, UDID cards, and category certificates. According to the Agency, this phase is critical to avoiding discrepancies, disputes, and potential application rejections in the subsequent stages.
The CUET UG 2026 examination will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode for admission to undergraduate programs at 47 central institutions and over 300 colleges across the country.
CUET UG 2025 took place over 19 days and 35 shifts, from May 13 to June 4. In 2024, CUET UG was held from May 15 to 29, while in 2023, it was held in phases from May 21 to June 23.
