NEET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recommended all National Eligibility and Entrance Test (Undergraduate) candidates to maintain their Aadhaar biometric details up to current. In a social media post on X, the NTA stated that the measure is intended to provide smooth biometric verification at examination centers on test day.
“This is essential for smooth biometric verification at the examination centre”, the exam body stated. “Candidates may visit their nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra, if required, to complete updates well in advance,” it added.
According to the advisory, when a child reaches the age of 15, his or her Aadhaar biometrics must be updated in accordance with UIDAI norms. The process is free for those aged 15 to 17. Candidates can identify their local Aadhaar enrollment centers on the official website, uidai.gov.in.
Accurate Aadhaar data, including name, date of birth, gender, photograph, address, and biometric information, is critical to avoiding discrepancies that could cause problems during the registration or authentication process.
Beyond Aadhaar, NEET UG 2026 candidates should ensure that other important papers, such as UDID cards for people with disabilities and category certificates (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL), are valid and up to date.
The NTA has also informed on its official X handle that the NEET UG admit card 2026 will be distributed to all applicants on April 27 at 10 a.m. Applicants must bring their NEET hall ticket to the examination center. Students will not be allowed to enter the exam hall unless they have their admit card.
The hall tickets will be available to download on the official NTA website, neet.nta.nic.in. The NEET UG 2026 will take place on May 3 in 552 places throughout the country and 14 countries abroad.
