When the choice-filling window closes, MCC allocates seats based on a variety of parameters, including the candidate’s NEET UG 2026 rank, category, reservation criteria, seat availability, and preferences provided during counselling.
Before releasing the allotment list, the counselling authority examines candidate data, validates the seat matrix obtained from participating institutes, and completes the technical processing required for seat allocation.
After the seat allotment results are announced, candidates who have been assigned a seat may accept it and report to the institute within the time frame specified. Depending on the counselling guidelines, eligible candidates may be granted the option of participating in following rounds of seat upgradation.
