The Authorities of India, the Authorities of Maharashtra, Mumbai Railway Vikas Company and the Asian Infrastructure Funding Financial institution (AIIB) at present signed a mortgage settlement for a $500 million Mumbai City Transport Mission-III to enhance the community capability, service high quality and security of the suburban railway system in Mumbai.

Shri Khare mentioned that this mission will help in improved mobility, service high quality and security of passengers of the sub city railway system of Mumbai, by offering sooner, extra dependable and better high quality transport companies in comparison with road-based transport.
