CM Majhi Directs Officials To Assess Crop Damage By Dec 30

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi urged officials today to identify affected farmers and conduct an accurate assessment of crop damage caused by unseasonal rainfall by December 30. At a review meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan, the Chief Minister directed the concerned department officials to ensure that no affected farmer is left without support.

It was resolved at the conference that all insured and uninsured farmers will get help through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in accordance with state and federal regulations. The Chief Minister has instructed the implementation of a huge awareness campaign to ensure that all covered farmers report the damage to their insurance providers within the time frame specified.

According to meeting sources, the Prime Minister told about the crop insurance scheme’s losses for 1 lakh 26 thousand farmers. CM Majhi issued a media plea to all insured farmers to report crop loss by Sunday (December 29).

Furthermore, the Chief Minister requested that registered farmers from various districts report crop damage caused by unseasonal rains immediately via the “Krishi Rakshak Portal” or by calling 14447.

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment KV Singh Deo, Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management Suresh Pujari, Cooperation Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta, Minister for Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Krushna Chandra Patra, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Additional Chief Secretary Nikunj Bihari Dhal, and Special Relief Commissioner Deo Ranjan Singh participated in the meeting and discussion.
