The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the broadcast schedule for the Men’s T20 World Cup, which will include 20 nations and 55 matches from February 7 to March 8.
The competition, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, will be broadcast internationally on television, digital, audio, and developing platforms.
Along with the main competition, official warm-up matches will be televised on select TV and digital platforms, giving spectators an early glimpse at the teams before the first game.
JioStar will broadcast the competition to fans in India via Star Sports linear TV and the JioHotstar internet platform.
JioStar’s TV and internet coverage will include all fixtures in five languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, with additional regional feeds in Bengali, Bhojpuri, and Haryanvi available on JioHotstar.
JioHotstar will also provide coverage in Marathi and Indian Sign Language for all Team India matches, semi-finals, and finals.
Building on the success of previous ICC events, JioHotstar will offer a vertical live broadcast in English and Hindi for mobile-first spectators.
In addition, JioHotstar spectators will be able to experience the games in 360 view and through the Multi-cam function, which allows involvement with the live match from specific POVs/vantage positions such as Hero, Stump, Battery, Field view, and Multi-View.
JioStar has partnered with PVR – Inox to stream numerous T20 World Cup matches countrywide.
Star Sports will also be available to viewers in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives via distribution partners around the subcontinent.
Dialog TV will be the official broadcast partner of co-host Sri Lanka, providing wide coverage throughout the island. This comprises live broadcasts on linear television, the ThePapare.com website, and the Dialog Play mobile app.
Dialog TV will also provide a Sinhala language feed for all matches on both its linear and digital channels.
Coverage will be enhanced further by Dialog TV’s free-to-air partner, TV Supreme, and Sri Lanka Telecom’s PEO TV platform.
Fans in the United Kingdom and Ireland can watch the action on Sky Sports Cricket and Sky Sports Main Event, with digital access available through NOW. Sky Sports will also provide Hindi commentary for the semi-finals and finals.
Furthermore, because Italy is competing in its first ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Sky Italia will broadcast all Italian matches, including the semi-finals and final, live on their platforms.
Proteas fans may watch all of the live action on SuperSport’s wide TV and digital offerings in Sub-Saharan Africa.
In Australia, coverage will be on Prime Video, with an additional Hindi commentary feed available for all India matches, semi-finals, and the final.
Fans in New Zealand may watch the matches on SKY Sport, which will also broadcast Hindi commentary for all India games, including the semi-finals and final.
PTV and Myco will carry coverage in Pakistan, with Tamasha, ARY Zapp, and Tapmad serving as digital partners. Furthermore, the ICC will develop an Urdu commentary feed for Pakistani matches, which will be televised on PTV Home and streamed by digital partners.
Willow TV will continue to provide live coverage of ICC events in the United States and Canada. All 55 matches will be televised in English and Hindi, with all USA matchups available for free to spectators in the United States and Canada. These matches will also be available free of charge on Willow’s official YouTube channel.
Commentary in English and Hindi will be accessible via Willow DTC and CricBuzz DTC platforms, while other Willow platforms will carry only the English commentary. In partnership with popular social media personality Jomboy, Willow will offer fans an alternative commentary option for the USA vs. India and USA vs. Pakistan matches.
In the UAE and the larger MENA region, the tournament will be broadcast on CricLife Max, which is accessible via StarzPlay. Moreover, fans throughout the Middle East can watch StarzPlay’s coverage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on the big screen, thanks to partnerships with VOX (UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman), Reel (UAE), Roxy, Cinepolis, Star (UAE), Mukta (Bahrain), and Epix Cinema (Bahrain).
ESPN will broadcast all matches live in the Caribbean Islands, and the Disney+ app will stream the event throughout Latin America. In addition, select matches will include Portuguese commentary on ESPN’s linear TV platforms in Brazil.
Total Sports Management (Bangladesh) will broadcast the tournament on the prominent linear channels T Sports and Nagorik TV, as well as the internet platform Rabbithole.
Additional broadcasters include PNG Digicel (Pacific Islands), Hub Sports 4 (Singapore), and Lemar TV (Afghanistan), which will provide commentary in Pashto and Dari. In Nepal, Kantipur TV will broadcast the competition, with certain matches produced domestically in Nepali.
The Nepali commentary will also be available in select regions via ICC.tv, increasing access to Nepali-speaking audiences. In the Netherlands, NOS will live stream all Netherlands-related matches to cater to the country’s cricket enthusiasts.
Matches may be watched on the CricBuzz channel by Malaysian and Hong Kong fans thanks to collaborations with Astro Cricket and PCCW.
Furthermore, the competition will be broadcast in-flight and at sea on Sport 24, allowing fans to stay up to current on the action while traveling.
The remaining regions will be televised live and free on the ICC’s own website, ICC.tv. Aside from live match coverage, ICC.tv will provide commentary in a variety of languages, including Japanese and Bahasa, with some matches also broadcast live on the ICC’s official YouTube page.
Aside from live footage, the ICC mobile app will provide worldwide access to commentary in English. Radio coverage will be broadcast by the BBC in the United Kingdom and Ireland, while ABC and SEN can be heard in Australia.
All India Radio will give live audio commentary for Indian listeners, while Derana FM in Sri Lanka will provide live ball-by-ball coverage of all matches.
