The India Meteorological Department predicts a gradual increase of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in maximum daytime temperatures across Odisha districts during the next four days, with no significant change thereafter.
A yellow warning has been issued, advising residents to be prepared for thunderstorms with lightning and strong surface winds of 30 to 40 kmph in isolated areas of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, and Malkangiri districts over the next 24 hours.
In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely in one or two spots in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Keonjhar, while the remaining districts will see dry weather.
On March 24, mild to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Malkangiri, and Koraput, with dry weather elsewhere. On March 25 and 26, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are expected in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri, while the rest of the state is expected to remain dry.
On March 27, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are expected in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri, as well as one or two other districts.
