JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 city intimation slip this week. Candidates who are taking the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) in January will be able to get the city slip on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in once it is available.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 test will be held in two shifts every day from January 21 to January 30, 2026. The first shift will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the second shift from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The city intimation slip will tell applicants about the location where their examination center is located, helping them to organize their journey and lodging. It should be noted that the city slip differs from the admit card in that it does not include the precise exam centre address or reporting instructions, which will be provided separately on the hall ticket.
JEE Main Paper 1 is held for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, as well as institutions and universities supported or recognized by participating state governments. The exam also serves as an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology. JEE Main Paper 2 is conducted for admission to BArch and BPlanning courses.
