The National Testing Agency (NTA) will begin the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2026) application correction window for session one on December 1 and conclude it on December 2. The JEE Main 2026 application for the January session exam is currently ongoing and will finish on November 27. The exam conducting body will not extend the registration deadline for the engineering entrance exam.

Candidates who want to make changes to their application forms can do so by logging in with their application number and password at the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The application correction window will close on November 27 at 11:50 p.m. Candidates, however, will not be able to update all of the information on the application form.
JEE Main 2026: Things to edit in the application
– Candidates will not be allowed to change their mobile number, e-mail address, permanent and present address, emergency contact details and photograph of the candidates on the JEE Main 2026 application form.
– Candidates will only be allowed to change their own name or father’s name or mother’s name.
– Class 10 and Class 12 details, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category / PwD and signature of the candidates can be changed and edited.
– Candidates will be allowed to change their exam centres based on their permanent and present addresses. The medium of exam can also be edited
– Candidates will be allowed to add what paper they will be appearing in
– Candidates will be allowed to change identity details (only for candidates who registered with identity other than
Aadhaar)
If there is an impact on the fee, the additional fee will be charged as relevant, according to the NTA. The candidate will only be allowed one adjustment, and once the modifications are completed and submitted, the form will be frozen.
In 2026, JEE Main will be held in two phases. The first session will take place from January 21 to 30, 2026, followed by the second session from April 2 to 9, 2026. JEE Main includes two papers: paper 1 (BE/BTech) and paper 2 (BArch/BPharm).
