Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, chairs high-level review meeting to assess preparedness for NEET UG Re-Examination

This year’s JEE Main 2023 exam was marred by numerous controversies. When the NTA announced the JEE Main 2023 exam dates, aspirants expressed their dissatisfaction. They claimed that the NTA should have given them more time to prepare and that the engineering entrance exam conflicts with their pre-board exams, practical exams, vivas, and other exams. The case was even heard in the Bombay High Court, along with the issue of restoring the eligibility criterion of 75% in class 12 board exams for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs. Aside from the All India Rank (AIR) of the candidate JEE Main, a student must have scored 75% and above in class 12 board exam, or appear in top 20-percentile candidates of the respective board exam result.

JEE Main 2023 Admit Card: Why was the session 1 exam date changed by NTA?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) revised the exam dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 on January 18. The reason for removing January 27 as an exam date is to ensure that JEE Main exam takers traveling from different cities are not inconvenienced. “Due to January 26 restrictions, it can be inconvenient for students to travel, if need be. We wanted to make sure that no such problems arose for the aspirants. “With this in mind, we decided to move the exam from January 27 to February 1,” NTA chief Vineet Joshi told.
