Here are few natural things that may be available off the kitchen –

Sip some Ginger or Cinnamon tea – Going natural to relieve pain is fantastic. Herbal teas include ginger tea and cinnamon tea. Ginger tea has anti-inflammatory characteristics that assist relieve pain, and cinnamon tea has anti-spasmodic properties that can help relieve menstruation pain.

Include Ghee in your diet- Adding a spoonful of ghee to each meal during your period will help you feel better overall. Ghee relieves stomach troubles that many women experience during certain days of the month.

Consume vitamin D-rich foods – Vitamin D can help to lower the formation of prostaglandins, which causes painful menstrual periods. So you take Vitamin D for painful menstrual cramps.

Stay hydrated – Drinking plenty of water during your period helps to keep your body hydrated and decreases bloating caused by your period.

Get your does of Banana – Bananas include Vitamin B6 and potassium, which can help reduce bloating and cramping.

Exercise- Exercise improves blood circulation throughout the body. Swimming is the best method because it releases endorphins, the body’s natural painkiller, which provides significant relief from cramps. Walking quickly enhances blood circulation near the pelvic area.

Heat Pads– Applying a hot water bottle or a heat pad to your lower belly will provide immediate comfort. If you don’t have a water bottle or a heat pad, simply soak a towel in hot water and place it on your lower abdomen. This method will give you the same relief from the pain.

Coriander seeds–
Coriander seed is not only one of the greatest menstrual pains cures, but it also helps to regulate irregular menstrual cycles. It accomplishes this through its anti-inflammatory effects. Boil a handful of seeds until just one cup of water remains, filter the liquid, and drink it. To achieve the best results, drink this tea twice a day.

Some warning signals that you should see a gynecologist right away

  • Abnormal discharge following menstrual pains.
  • If cramps appear suddenly.
  • If you have been bleeding for more than a day.
  • If you are experiencing severe headaches and vomiting during your period cramps.
  • If cramps are interfering with your everyday activities and causing extreme discomfort and sadness.

Even after trying all of these natural ways to get rid of period cramps, if you are still not getting relief, you should see a gynecologist. To keep infections at bay, have yourself tested with a few simple tests.
