NEET UG 2026 Dress Code Guidelines: With the NEET UG 2026 exam approaching, the National Testing Agency has issued vital advice to help applicants avoid last-minute difficulties at exam centers.
In a public notification dated April 30, 2026, the agency stated that it has issued an essential advise to candidates taking NEET UG 2026, describing the dress code and acceptable objects at examination centers, and that the exam is set for May 3, 2026. It further noted that all candidates must strictly adhere to the stipulated guidelines to guarantee a smooth and hassle-free examination procedure.
The agency has provided essential advice for applicants taking the exam. It said that applicants are only allowed to carry transparent water bottles into the examination hall. It also noted that articles of faith are acceptable under certain conditions, stating that applicants may wear religious or faith-based items to the examination center, but they must arrive early to allow for thorough frisking
Regarding clothes, the agency stated that, while light clothing is encouraged, candidates may wear full sleeves or woollens if necessary, but they must arrive early to allow for security checks. It also stated that slippers and low-heeled footwear are preferred to reduce delays during security inspections.
The agency has emphasized that all candidates must carefully adhere to the dress code and comply with the examination personnel, and that arriving early is strongly advised, particularly for those who require further screening owing to specific apparel or objects.
