Odisha is anticipated to see a severe cold wave, with nighttime temperatures dropping even further in the coming days. The temperature is expected to drop by 4 degrees Celsius during the following four days, according to the India Meteorological Department.
According to the weather forecast, the night temperature across coastal and central Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, could drop by another degree Celsius on December 7. However, a minor increase of 1-2 degrees is forecast on December 8, followed by a further decrease beginning December 9.
Phulbani, Boudh, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Sundargarh, Nabrangpur, Koraput, and Kandahar are all expected to see low temperatures today. Additionally, severe fog is likely in Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Jharsuguda, Balangir, and Sonepur today.
On Tuesday, G Udayagiri had the lowest temperature of 9.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Daringbadi (10 degrees), Chipilima (11.7 degrees), Phulbani (12 degrees), Jharsuguda (12.1 degrees), and Rourkela (12.2 degrees).
Cuttack reported a night temperature of 14.8 degrees Celsius, while Bhubaneswar recorded 16.4 degrees Celsius. Jharsuguda’s nighttime temperature was 1.4 degrees below usual.
