Kiev: According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia is planning to announce a mobilisation on May 9.
“Russia has already begun covert mobilisation and is preparing to announce a mass mobilisation in the near future,” Kyrylo Budanov, Head of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense’s Chief Intelligence Directorate, said in an interview.
When asked if Russia intends to announce the mobilisation on May 9, he replied, “Yes, they are preparing,” according to Ukrayinska Pravda, citing Budanov’s interview with NV.
“Rosreserv (Russia’s Federal Agency for State Reserves) has now begun to check what they actually have in stock and calculate what they can give out on mobilisation orders.” “This is an absolutely necessary step before we begin real mobilisation,” he says.
When asked if the Kremlin’s plan is to win in Donbas by May 9, the head of the Chief Intelligence Directorate responded, “That is their goal, but it will not happen; they do not have time.” They will not be able to pull it off.”
