Stock Market Highlights on Wednesday, May 20, 2026: The Nifty50 and Sensex closed higher after recouping all intraday losses in the last hour of trade.

Hindalco Industries, Reliance Industries, and Bajaj Auto were the Nifty50’s top gainers.

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and the Nifty SmallCap finished 0.49 percent and 0.04 percent higher, respectively.

Sectorally, the Nifty Oil & Gas and Nifty Auto outperformed, while the Nifty Media and Nifty FMCG fell the most.
