Stock Market Highlights on Thursday, Oct 15, 2026: The main indices closed significantly higher as oil prices fell, easing concerns about continued price pressure.
The Sensex jumped 1,533.72 points, or 2.11 percent, to 74,315.61, while the Nifty50 gained 374.65 points, or 1.66 percent, to 22,997.35.
Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank, and Reliance Industries were the Nifty50’s top gainers.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap lost 0.36% and 1.31%, respectively.
Sector-wise, the Nifty PSU Bank fell the most, while the Nifty IT increased the most.
