Share Market Close Highlights: Sensex ekes out gains, settles 109 pts higher; Nifty ends at 24,056; auto outperforms

Stock Market Highlights on Thursday, June 25, 2026: The Nifty50 and Sensex lost major intraday gains as IT, metal, oil, and gas sectors fell.

The Nifty50 closed 34.35 points higher, or 0.14 percent, at 24,056, while the Sensex advanced 0.14 percent, or 109.25 points, to 77,100.47.

The top losers in the Nifty50 index were Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Power Grid Corporation of India, and Hindalco Industries.

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and the Nifty SmallCap closed 0.55 percent and 0.47 percent lower, respectively.

Sector-wise, the Nifty Metal, Nifty IT, and Nifty Oil and Gas were the biggest losers. Meanwhile, the Nifty Auto and Nifty FMCG performed well.
